Mars Area High School will hold its 2019 Homecoming Celebration, Sunday, Sept. 22, through Saturday, Sept. 28.
Spirit Week activities will be held as follows:
- Sunday, Sept. 22 — Powder Puff Football Games, 9 a.m. at Mars Athletics Complex
- Monday, Sept. 23 — “Mocs, Stocks, Socks & Crocs” Day
- Tuesday, Sept. 24 — “Totally Tourist” Day
- Wednesday, Sept. 25 — “Wacky Wednesday” Day
- Thursday, Sept. 26 — “College Wear” Day
- Friday, Sept. 27 — “Mars/FOR(Friends of Rachel)” Day
- Homecoming Pep Rally, 2 p.m.
- Homecoming Parade, 5 p.m. at Downtown Mars
- Homecoming Football Game (Fightin' Planets vs. Shaler Area Titans), 7 p.m. at Mars Athletic Complex. The Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime.
- Saturday, Sept. 28 — Homecoming Dance, 7 to 10 p.m. on, at Mars Area Centennial School. The Homecoming King will be crowned during the dance. Dance tickets are $30 per student through Friday, Sept. 20, and $35 after that date. Tickets are available for purchase at the Student Council booth at Mars Area High School through Friday, Sept. 27. (Note: Dance attendees must be ages 14-20 and in ninth grade and above.)
