Career Readiness Indicator

Students will meet the graduation requirement for the Career Readiness Indicator with the completion of all assigned activities in the district’s Career Readiness Indicator Plan.

Effective with the 2018-2019 School Year and beyond, there are career plan and portfolio requirements.

• • Grade 5 Benchmark — Six (6) pieces of evidence between Grades K-5
  • Grade 8 Benchmark — Six (6) pieces of evidence between Grades 6-8, including individualized career plan
  • Grade 11 Benchmark — Eight (8) pieces of evidence between Grades 9-11, including two (2) pieces of evidence that demonstrate career plan implementation.

Students will meet the graduation requirement for the Industry-Based Learning Indicator through the option of the Work-Based Learning Experience with the completion of the Career Mentoring Program at Mars Area High School.
