Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Tennis Team advance to the first round of the 2023 WPIAL Class 3A Boys Varsity Team Tennis Championships on May 5, but was defeated 5-0 the Upper St. Clair Panthers.
The Fightin’ Planets ended the 2023 regular season with an overall record of 8-4 and 3-3 in Section 2-3A.
Of note this season, senior Josh Dunham earned fourth place overall in the in the 2022 Section 2-3A Boys Varsity Tennis Singles Tournament. Freshman Lucas Crawford competed in the first round of the event .

Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Tennis Team advanced to Third Place Consolation Match of the 2022 WPIAL Class 2A Boys Varsity Team Tennis Championships on May 11, but was defeated 3-2 by the Central Valley Warriors.
The Fightin’ Planets were defeated 4-1 by the North Catholic Trojans in the WPIAL semifinals on May 9; but, vanquished the Valley Vikings 3-2 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on May 4 and tamed the Carlynton Cougars 5-0 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs on May 2. The team ended the 2022 regular season with an overall record of 13-1 and went undefeated (8-0) in Section 2-2A.
