District Students in Production of Mean Girls

Several Mars Area School District students will join the cast of Batavia Performing Arts Studio’s production of Mean Girls: High School Version, which takes the stage Friday, April 12, through Sunday, April 14, at Butler County Community College’s Succop Theater.

The show will feature junior Alyssa Hipsky as Janice Lmi’ike; sophomore Aubree Machi as Aaron Samuels; sophomore Brody Slavicek as Damian Hubbard; freshman Elizabeth Schwartz as Karen Shetty; seventh-grader Elisabeth Pettigrew as Mrs. Buck; and seventh-grader Gianna Bartley as Sophie Kawachi.

Mean Girls: High School Version tells the story of Cady Heron, who attempts to fit in at her new high school after moving from Africa to suburban Illinois. After encountering The Plastics, led by the ruthless Regina George, Cady Heron quickly learns that  you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.
