Mars Area School District will celebrate of Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 23-27, with various theme days:
- Monday, Oct. 23 — “Wear Red to Show Respect for Being Drug Free.” Students may wear red colors.
- Tuesday, Oct. 24 — “Our Futures are Bright — We Make Healthy Choices.” Students may wear tie-dyed or neon colors.
- Wednesday, Oct. 25 — “Sock It to Drugs.” Students may wear silly socks.
- Thursday, Oct. 26 — “Be Strong! Stay Away from Drugs & Alcohol.” Students may wear their favorite superhero t-shirt.
- Friday, Oct. 27 — “Team Up Against Drug Use” Day. Students may wear their favorite sports team apparel.
Red Ribbon Week, sponsored by National Family Partnership, is an annual drug, alcohol and tobacco prevention awareness campaign. For more information, contact the individual school building or visit http://redribbon.org/.
