Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team will take on the South Park Eagles in the semifinals of the 2017 WPIAL Class 3A Girls Soccer Championship at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, at West Allegheny High School (Imperial, Pa.).

The Lady Planets trounced the Franklin-Regional Panthers 4-1 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Oct. 26 and tamed the Laurel Highlands Mustangs 8-0 in the first round on Oct. 23. The team ended the 2017 regular season with an overall record of 13-1-0 and went undefeated (10-0-0) in section play, earning the Section 1-3A title.
