Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team will take on the Blue Mountain Eagles in the quarterfinals of the 2018 PIAA Class 3A Girls Soccer Championship at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Bald Eagle Area Middle/High School (Wingate, Pa.).

The Lady Planets beat the Manheim Central Barons 2-0 in the first round of PIAA play on Nov. 6. Despite a 1-0 overtime loss to the Oakland Catholic Eagles in the final game of the 2018 WPIAL Class 3A Girls Soccer Championship on Nov. 2, the Lady Planets took second place and qualified for the state playoffs.

The team halted the Hampton Talbots 1-0 in the WPIAL semifinals on Oct. 27; conquered the Montour Spartans 3-0 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Oct. 24; and tamed the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions 9-0 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs on Oct. 20. The team ended the 2018 regular season with an overall record of 15-0 and went undefeated (14-0) in section play, earning the Section 1-3A title.
