Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team will take on the Oakland Catholic Eagles in the final game of the 2018 WPIAL Class 3A Girls Soccer Championship at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, at Highmark Stadium.

The Lady Planets halted the Hampton Talbots 1-0 in the WPIAL semifinals on Oct. 27; conquered the Montour Spartans 3-0 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Oct. 24 and tamed the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions 9-0 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs on Oct. 20. The team ended the 2018 regular season with an overall record of 15-0 and went undefeated (14-0) in section play, earning the Section 1-3A title.
