Mars Area High School will offer a Field Trip to Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School from 8:15 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
The field trip is open to interested sophomores and freshmen. The vo-tech offers15 different programs of study — Advertising Design, Air Conditioning/Heating (HVAC), Automotive Technology, Building Construction, Carpentry, Collision Repair, Cosmetology, Computer Networking & Telecommunications, Culinary Arts, Graphic Arts, Health Assistant, Heavy Equipment Repair, Machine Technology, Protective Services and Welding.
Vo-tech courses offer multiple certifications and articulation agreements with various colleges. All programs are designed to prepare students to enter jobs in technical, skilled, and semi-skilled occupations after high school graduation.
At Mars Area High School, students may attend the vo-tech for one, two, or three years in one of the school’s programs of study. The school has more than 850 students in Grades 9-12 enrolled from all Butler County school districts.
