Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Hockey Team will take on the Franklin Regional Panthers in the play-in round of the 2018 PIHL Class 2A Penguins Cup Playoffs at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 5, at Center Ice Arena (Delmont, Pa.).

The Fightin’ Planets ended the 2017-2018 regular season with an overall record of 9-10 and 7-5 in North/West Conference play. In 2017, the team advanced to the play-in round of the PIHL Class 2A Penguins Cup Playoffs.
