Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team will take on the Franklin Regional Panthers in the 2018 WPIAL Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championship Third Place Consolation Game at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, at Robert Morris University.

The Lady Planets advanced to the semifinal round of the WPIAL playoffs, but were defeated 17-7 by the Hampton Talbots on May 21. The team topped the Trinity Hillers 15-3 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on May 16.

The team ended the regular season with an overall record of 10-6 and 8-2 in section play, earning second place in Section 3-2A.
