Mars Area High School Marching Band will compete in the 2019 PIMBA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association) Class 3A Championships, to be held from 4 to 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Gateway High School (Monroeville, Pa.).

Gates open at 3 p.m. Mars Area’s marching band will take the field at 7:45 p.m. and will compete against Class 3A bands from Baldwin, Deer Lakes and Gateway. This year’s band show, themed “Chasing Sunlight,” includes the songs “Requiem-Dies Irae” by Giuseppe Verdi, “Hurricane” by Thirty Seconds to Mars, “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, and “Chasing Sunlight” by Cait Nishimura.
