Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team will take on the Belle Vernon Leopards in the semifinals of the 2019 WPIAL Class 3A Girls Soccer Championship at 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, at Canon-McMillan High School (Canonsburg, Pa.).

The Lady Planets tamed the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars 7-0 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Oct. 24; and, topped the Trinity Hillers 7-0 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs on Oct. 21. The team ended the 2019 regular season with an overall record of 14-0-1 and went undefeated (14-0) in section play, earning the Section 1-3A title.
