Mars Area High School will hold a Mock Accident Assembly for juniors and seniors at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, in the auditorium parking lot.
Note: This event is not an actual emergency.
The mock accident is designed to resemble a real accident in every aspect to demonstrate the serious consequences of drinking and driving. Adams Area Fire District, Adams Township Police Department, Butler County 9-1-1 Dispatch, Butler County Coroner, Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department, LifeFlight and Quality EMS will participate in the dramatization. The vehicles used in the dramatization were donated by Classic Automotive of Mars.
PARKING NOTICE — Students who usually park in spaces 233-349 will be asked to park in the Mars Area Middle School parking lot along Route 228. Shuttle buses will be provided between the Middle School and High School from 7:10 to 7:30 a.m. and 2:37 to 2:45 p.m. These students are also encouraged to plan accordingly or to ride their regularly scheduled bus to and from school.
The event is part of Mars Area High School’s Prom Promise campaign and is sponsored by the school’s REACH (Responsible Educated Adolescents Can Help) program.
