Mars Area High School will hold its 2019 Mars Area Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, at Mars Area Middle School.
2019 Inductees are:
- Rob Carmody, coach (Basketball)
- Lily Grenci, Class of 2009 (Basketball)
- Brian Hoffman, Class of 1985 (Track)
- Melanie (Nicklas) Hynden, Class of 1974 (Track)
- Justin Piocquidio, Class of 2008 (Track)
- Matt Powell, Class of 1995 (Baseball)
All inductees will also be recognized at approximately 6:30 p.m., prior to the Fightin’ Planets football game against the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, at Mars Athletic Complex.
The Mars Area Sports Hall of Fame recognizes those individuals who have distinguished themselves in athletics during and beyond their years at Mars Area School District. Nominations are accepted through April 30 of the previous school year.
