Mars Area School District will join in the fight against breast cancer as part of its annual Pink Out & “Hats for Heroes” fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 15, to benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation.

As part of the event, students (Grades K-12) will be asked to make a donation in return for the opportunity to wear a hat in school on Friday, Oct. 15. Donations will be accepted online at www.info-komen.org/goto/MARS-HatsforHeroes or via check (made payable to “Susan G. Komen”).

In addition, all students and staff are encouraged to wear pink on Friday, Oct. 15, to raise awareness for the cause. For more information, call (724) 625-3145.
