Mars Area High School will offer Career Awareness Program (CAP) Day activities for students (Grades 9-12) on Tuesday, April 13.

Students will join in activities specifically designed for their grade level:

  • Grade 9 (LSI instruction) —

    • Introduction of Career Mentoring Plan
  • Grade 10 (In-person Instruction) —
    • PSAT 10 Assessments
  • Grade 11 (In-person Instruction) —
    • Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Assessment
  • Grade 12 (LSI Instruction) —
    • Career Interest Surveys & Reflections (Naviance)
    • Prom & Graduation Information Meetings

Seniors & Freshmen
— All seniors and freshmen, who have attending school for Traditional Instruction, will need to switch to Live-Stream Interactive (LSI) Instruction for the day (Tuesday, April 13). These students may return to Traditional Instruction on Wednesday, April 14.

Juniors & Sophomores — Given the nature of the ASVAB and PSAT assessments, all juniors and sophomores will be asked to attend school in person from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13. (Students will be socially distanced during all testing.) Once all assessments are complete, juniors and sophomores may choose to remain in school through the end of the school day; or, with a parent note, may return home to complete Periods 6-9 via LSI.

The day will engage students in relevant and meaningful self-exploration, aptitude assessment, and educational experiences that will support their future planning and help them reach their desired goals.

To accommodate CAP Day activities, Mars Area High School will run on a modified bell scheduled on Tuesday, April 13. For more information, visit
