Mars Area High School Competition Cheer Team will compete in the 10th annual WPIAL Competitive Spirit Championships, to be held from 9:30 to 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, at Hempfield Area High School (Greensburg, Pa.).

The team will compete at approximately 12:16 p.m. in the 3A Small Varsity division during the second session of the event. The Planets will take on teams from Bethel Park, Hampton, Mt. Lebanon, North Allegheny, North Hills, Oakland Catholic, Pine-Richland, Plum, Seneca Valley, Shaler Area and Thomas Jefferson.

For those planning to attend the event, tickets are $10 per session and may be purchased online at www.gofan.co/wpial. No tickets will be sold at the gate.
