Mars Area School District will commemorate Red Ribbon Week, Monday, Oct. 23, through Friday, Oct. 27.
Students at all schools (K-12) will be invited to join in the following theme days:
- Monday, Oct. 23 —
- “Don’t Get Tied Up With Drugs” Day — Tie dye colors (K-6)
- “Slam & Dunk, Drugs are Junk” Day — Sports jerseys (7-12)
- Tuesday, Oct. 24 — “Voting For My Future To Be Drug Free” Day — Red, White & Blue colors (K-12)
- Wednesday, Oct. 25 —
- “Don’t Get Mixed Up With Drugs” Day — Mismatched clothing (K-8)
- “Drugs Will Make Your Skies Gray” — Groutfit (gray) clothes (High School only)
- Thursday, Oct. 26 — “Your Choices Are the Key To Your Dreams” Day — Pajamas or comfy clothes (K-12)
- Friday, Oct. 27 — “Our School Chooses To Be Drug Free” Day — School colors (blue and gold) (K-12)
The purpose of the annual event is to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse. For more information, contact the individual school building.
