Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team will take on the Hampton Talbots in the Playback Consolation Game of the 2022-2023 WPIAL Class 5A Girls Varsity Basketball Championship at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, at Knoch High School (Saxonburg).

The Lady Planets were defeated by the Oakland Catholic Eagles 63-42 in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Feb. 24. The team tamed the Lincoln Park Leopards 56-29 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs on Feb. 21, after ending the 2022-2023 regular season with an overall record of 15-6 and tying for first place in Section 2-5A with a record of 9-3. 

Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults and may be purchased online at www.gofan.co/wpial. All tickets sold at the gate are $7.
