Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team wil take on the Plum Mustangs in the Third Place Consolation Game of the 2024 WPIAL Class 3A Girls Varsity Soccer Championship at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, at North Allegheny Senior High School.
After a scoreless game in the WPIAL Semifinals on Oct. 29, the Lady Planets were ultimately bested by the South Fayette Lions 4-2 in a penalty kick shootout. The team defeated the West Allegheny Indians 2-0 in the WPIAL Quarterfinals on Oct. 24; and, grounded the Oakland Catholic Eagles 3-2 in the first round of the WPIAL Playoffs on Oct. 21.
The Planets ended the 2024 regular season with an overall record of 15-2 and 8-2 in Section 1-3A play.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and may be purchased online only at https://gofan.co/WPIAL. No tickets will be sold at the gate.
