Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team will take on the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars in the Third Place Consolation game of the 2024-2025 WPIAL Class 5A Girls Varsity Basketball Championship at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Thomas Jefferson High School.
The Lady Planets were defeated 67-32 by the South Fayette Lions in the WPIAL Semifinals on Feb. 22; grounded the Bethel Park Black Hawks 55-42 in the WPIAL Quarterfinals on Feb. 19; and rebuffed the Shaler Area Titans 44-23 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs on Feb. 14. The team ended the regular season with an overall record of 13-9 and 6-6 in Section 3-5A.
Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults and may be purchased online at www.gofan.co/wpial. All tickets sold at the gate are $7.
