Mars Area High School Varsity Hockey Team will take on the Chartiers Valley Colts in the semifinals of the 2025 PIHL (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League) Class A Penguins Cup Playoffs at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at Robert Morris University Island Sports Center.
The Fightin’ Planets toppled the Shaler Area Titans 5-4 in the Penguins Cup Quarterfinals on March 3; and , beat the Meadville Bulldogs 9-0 in the Play-In Round on Feb. 24. The team ended the 2024-2025 regular season with an overall record of 17-3.
