The Pine-Richland/Mars Area U.S. Air Force JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp) Drill Team competed in the Parkersburg JROTC Regional Drill Competition, held Feb. 23 at Parkersburg South High School (Parkersburg, W.Va.) 

The team, members of which include Mars Area High School juniors Rebecca Neiser and Michael Riggio and sophomore Abigail King, earned first place overall. The team also took first place in the Uniform/Military Knowledge Inspection Team, Varsity Unarmed Drill Team, Varsity Armed Drill Team, JV Unarmed Drill Team, JV Armed Drill Team, JV Color Guard Team, and Armed Duet Exhibition Team, and Knockout competitions.

The drill team will next compete in the Tecumseh JROTC Drill Competition on Saturday, March 9, at Tecumseh High School (New Carlisle, Ohio). For more information, visit www.pinerichland.org/Domain/88.
