Numerous Mars Area High School students were inducted into the French National Honor Society (Société Honoraire de Français) Chapter at a special ceremony on April 18.
Students are seniors Jordan Badenhop, Allison Brand, Priscilla Bromley, Emily Elder, Lindsey Haines, Jenna Halenda, Amelia Haley, Michael Lamothe, Carolyn Mueller, Jacob Smith, Claire Staudacher, Noah Toparli, Isabella Trimble, Emma Voelker and Erica Wojcikiewicz; and juniors Sydney Barshick, Abigail Gannon, Kaitlyn Gannon, Madison Goerl, Rachel Goetz, Luke Harvey, Emily Hayward, Grace Huff, Grace Ingram, Kiara Khemani, Anna Kurpakus, Samantha MacDonald, Daniel Mitchell, Madelyn Mueller, Amanda Perdziola, Anna Schauble, Madelyn Smelko, Lauren Serold, Stephanie Streb, Olivia Williams and Megan Zukowski.
Société Honoraire de Français recognizes high school students in the United States who have maintained excellent grades in at least three semesters of French language courses. To be eligible for participation, students must be enrolled in French 3, French 4 or AP French; maintain a 90 percent or higher in all French classes during the previous three semesters; have a minimum average GPA of 3.0; and no disciplinary record.
