Mars Area High School is listed among the Top 100 Pennsylvania High Schools, according to rankings released by the U.S. News & World Report.

The school is listed as 73rd in the state with an overall score of 88.14. Mars Area High School is one of 18 high schools in the Pittsburgh Region to be recognized in the rankings, which are based on college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.

According to the rankings, Mars Area High School is listed as 2,045th in the nation. The national rankings consider a schools’ performance on state-required tests; graduation rates; and how well students are prepared for college.
