Mars Area High School’s Ultimate Frisbee Club Team took second place in the Pittsburgh Ultimate PHUL (Pittsburgh High School Ultimate League) Spring League Division II Championships.

The club team advanced to the final game of the championship on May 23, but was defeated by Seneca Valley 11-7. The Planets crushed Chartiers Valley in the semifinals; and subdued Shady Side Academy in the quarterfinals.

The team ended the regular season undefeated with a 13-0 record. Team members are seniors Dustin Bauer, Noah Cipkins, Khori Fusco, Nathan Gribble, Ryan Grove, Jackson Krock, Patrick McCann, Christian Meskanick, Andrew Recchia, Aidan Sperdute and Logan Wick; junior Konrad Lesheim; sophomores Colin Boyle, Christian Kay and Zach Seidita; and freshman Kevin Butler.
