Students Introduced to Challenge Program

During the 2019-2020 School Year, Mars Area High School students are joining in The Challenge Program.

The program focuses on the how students’ choices may affect their career-readiness and success, both in and beyond the classroom. The Challenge Program, was introduced to students (Grades 10-12) at a recent “Future Influencers: #WhyNotMe” assembly, which also provided information about various local career opportunities.

The goal of The Challenge Program is to build sustainable business/education partnerships, while motivating students to develop good habits that will help them to succeed in school and in their future careers. (Mars Area High School is partnered with Lutheran SeniorLife for the 2019-2020 School Year.)

Throughout the school year, students participating in the program will be eligible to compete for financial awards in five areas linked with academic and workplace success — Attendance, Academic Improvement, Academic Excellence, STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math), and Community Service.
