Several members of Mars Area High School’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Chapter placed at the 2019-2020 FBLA Regional Leadership Conference, held Dec. 11.
Junior Paul Olson earned first place in the Agribusiness competition and senior Cody Killian took second place in the Business Ethics event. Junior Aria Ramanathan received second place in the Public Speaking competition and senior Noah Spurlock took second place in the Organizational Leadership event.
The teams of seniors Dalton Becker, Blake Edwards and Luke Vasilj, and seniors Rachel Goetz, Karlie Hollern and Alexa Knox, earned second and third place, respectively, in the Marketing event. The team of sophomores Lauren Miko and Morgan Weitzell and freshman Ainsley McGee took forth place in the Entrepreneurship competition.
Other students who participated in the regional competition included seniors Emma Guinee, Allison McGee and Grace Ingram; junior Andrew Riska; sophomores Chris Dvorak and Karina Quinn; and freshmen Kyra Harvey, Taylor Hollern, Kate Muchnok, Sophia Maestra and Hunter Mycka.
FBLA is a non-profit educational association of students preparing for careers in business or simply interested in learning more about the American Business Enterprise. The organization aids students in enhancing leadership abilities as well as in preparing for entry into and advancement within a business or business-related occupation.
