Three Mars Area High School students competed in the 2020 Martin Luther King Kickoff Challenge Volleyball Tournament, held Jan. 18-20 in Lancaster, Pa.

Freshmen Emma Libert and Kate Muchnok competed as members of the Pittsburgh Elite Volleyball 15A White Team, which earned first place in the Round 3 Playoff Bronze Bracket and placed 21st overall in the 15 American Division.

Sophomore Cecelia Joliat competed as a member of the Pittsburgh Elite Volleyball 16A Silver Team, which advanced to the semifinals of the Round 3 Playoff Bronze Bracket and took 30th place overall in the 16 American Division.
