Three members of Mars Area High School Band were selected by solo audition to perform in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District Band Festival, to be held Feb. 13-15 at Butler Area Senior High School.

Students are seniors Katherine Horrocks (clarinet) and Anthony Gatto (alto saxophone); and junior Elizabeth Caldwell (flute). Brad Townsend, University of Pittsburgh director of bands, will serve as guest conductor.

The event will conclude with a public concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Butler Area Intermediate High School. Tickets are $5 may be purchased at the door.
