Students Earn Scholastic Art Awards

Several Mars Area High School students were selected to receive 2020 Pittsburgh Arts Region Scholastic Art Awards.

Gold Keys were awarded junior Kendall Ceh for her piece, “Bubblegum;” junior Caroline Dunn, “Hazy Day;” junior Aspen Wilson, “Rise of Endangerment;” and sophomore Audrey Gehm, “Shattered.”

Silver Keys went to senior Nicole Newtzie for her work, “Caboose,” and freshman Effie Frank for “Self Portrait in Blue.”

Honorable mentions were awarded to senior Mina Beach for her piece “Mind Control;” senior Delaney Maitland, “Disembodied” and “Ian the Eland;” senior Rebecca Neiser, “Pink Lady;” junior Isabel Mannella, “Blooming;” junior Aspen Wilson, “Clown at the Lake;” sophomore Audrey Gehm, “No Evil;” and freshman Kaitlyn Ames for “I’m Doing All of This for You,” It’s the Little Things” and “Peaceful Boredom.”
