Two Mars Area High School teachers received letters of recognition from The College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Program for their contributions to the 2020 AP Reading.
Rebecca Hoffmann, AP English teacher, and Bill Wesley, AP Biology teacher, were among those high school AP teachers and college faculty members who scored 535,478 AP English Language & Composition exams and 233,444 AP Biology exams, respectively, in June 2020.
The scoring process reflects the high standards of AP Readers who, by virtue of their experience and expertise, have appropriate student performance expectations within their respective disciplines, says Trevor Packer, The College Board senior vice president of AP & Instruction. These professional helped to ensure that AP students can pursue college credit and placement opportunities even in the midst of school closures and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
