Several Mars Area High School students were selected for awards in various categories of The Challenge Program, which focuses on the how students’ choices affect their career-readiness and success, both in and beyond the classroom.
Students, who are being recognized for their efforts during the 2019-2020 School Year, are seniors McKenna Bowes (STEM), Sergio Branch (Academic Improvement), and Elizabeth Long (Academic Excellence), Chloe Milliron (Community Service) and Alexander Smith (Attendance); and juniors Sarah Hooper (Academic Excellence), Luke Luedy (Attendance), Audrey Milk (Community Service), Isabella Pelligrino (STEM) and Joey Puccarelli (Academic Improvement). Each student will receive a certificate denoting their individual honor as well as a $200 check.
Mars Area High School, partners with Lutheran SeniorLife, to offer The Challenge Program to students. The goal of the program is to build sustainable business/education partnerships, while motivating students to develop good habits that will help them to succeed in school and in their future careers.
