Buttermore, was selected as one of six, out of 143 entrants in the competition, to receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to attend Saint Vincent College, where he plans to pursue a degree in chemistry with a secondary education certification.
At Mars Area High School, Buttermore is a member of the Boys Varsity Tennis Team, AP Computer Science Club, Computer Club German Club, German National Honor Society, Spanish Club and the Water Protection Program. In the community, he has led the Kid’s Club Bible Study at North Way Christian Community Church and has served as a volunteer for the Fellowship Dinner for senior citizens at St. Kilian Parish.
