Two teams of Mars Area High School students competed in the 2021 Western Pennsylvania High School Science Bowl, held virtually on Feb. 27.

Mars Team #1, made up of juniors Timothy Jayamohan, Anuj Kaul, Raghav Kalbhor and Rohan Narasimhan, and sophomore Cole Winstead; and, Mars Team #2, junior Audrey Milk, sophomore Lindsey Gourash, and freshmen Declan Abbey, Mitchell Kulfan and Aidan Teboul, both advanced to the first elimination round of the competition. 

The students, who competed against 37 teams from local high schools, were asked questions related to biology, chemistry, earth & space, energy, mathematics and physics.
