Several members of Mars Area High School Speech & Debate Team placed at the virtual 2021 Pennsylvania High School Speech League (PHSSL) State Championships, held March 13-14.

Junior Audrey Milk and freshman Lauren Karg earned fifth place in the Duo Interpretation category; and, sophomores Avery Beller and Cole Winstead took fourth place in the News Broadcasting event. Sophomore Emma Hannan competed in the Impromptu Speech category.
