Students Selected for PMEA All-State Festival

Six Mars Area High School students were selected by solo audition for the 2021 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) All-State Festival, to be held virtually April 14-17.

Senior Meredith Gaura (Soprano II), senior Aria Ramanathan (Soprano II), and junior Katherine Ball (Soprano II) will perform with the PMEA All-State Chorus, conducted by Dr. Rachel Cornacchio, Messiah University director of music education.

Senior Carly King (Oboe II) and junior Evan Rojas (String Bass) will perform with the All-State Orchestra, under the direction of Steven Amundson, St. Olaf College Orchestra conductor.

Sophomore Andrew Nelson (Bassoon I) will perform with the All-State Band, conducted by Lt. Col. Daniel F. Toven, The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” deputy commander.
