Mars Area High School senior Ethan Pendarvis has committed to joining the Red Flash eSports Team at St. Francis University (Loretto, Pa.), where he plans to major in economics.  

Pendarvis is the first Mars Area student to receive a collegiate eSports scholarship. He will compete as a member of the university’s Rocket League team. 

At Mars Area High School, Pendarvis is a member of Chess Club, Key Club and STEM Club and he played for the Boys Varsity Baseball Team in his junior year. In the community, he is leader with the Mission from Mars homeless outreach program and he works at Moe's Southwest Grill.
