Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Volleyball Team advance to the first round of the 2021 WPIAL Class 2A Boys Varsity Volleyball Championship on May 18, but was defeated 3-1 by the Montour Spartans.

The Fightin’ Planets ended the 2021 regular season with a overall record of 5-9 and 4-3 in Section 2-2A play.

Players on this year’s team are seniors Carson Owens, Andrew Riska and Jesse Sines; juniors Tyler Kearney, Ryan Mitchell and Aiden Wright; sophomores Ethen Kosiorek, Zach Long and Conor Tomcik; and freshmen Amir Ali, Mason Coone, Owen Javor, Kyle Organ, Liam Quinn, Tyler Raabe and Colton Riska.
