Because of inclement weather Mars Area High School's Class of 2021 Commencement Ceremony & Walk has been moved to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 4, in the school’s parking lots.

Pre-recorded speeches will be offered by Dr. Mark Gross, superintendent; Lindsay Rosswog, principal; Elizabeth Long and Mckenna Bowes, student speakers*; Macy Barshick, student-selected speaker; and, Genevieve Thomas, Class of 2021 president. Other Class of 2021 officers are Megan Mann, vice president; Samantha King, secretary; and Lexus Haskins, treasurer.
During the ceremony, each graduate will receive his/her diploma, then walk along a marked route through the parking lots, passing peers and families. Participants are asked to wear a face covering (mask or shield) and to maintain social distancing at all times, where possible.* Mars Area High School does not announce its valedictorian and salutatorian until after the last day of school when all final grades have been tabulated. Therefore, those students who are invited to speak at graduation may not be the valedictorian and salutatorian.
All graduates and their families have been assigned one parking spot, for one vehicle only. Vehicles without a provided “graduation tag” will not be admitted to the High School campus.
