Mars Area School Board voted 8-1 in favor of amending the 2021-2022 Mars Area School District Calendar to move the Mars Area High School Class of 2022 Graduation Ceremony from Thursday, May 26, to Wednesday, June 1.

Board member Kevin Hagen cast the dissenting vote.

Rain dates for graduation are also scheduled on Thursday, June 2, and Friday, June 3. As the last day of school is scheduled for Thursday, May 26, the change was made to provide additional time for the high school’s administrative staff and graduation committee to prepare for the event.
