Several members of Mars Area High School Chorus were selected by solo audition for various Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 5 Honors Chorus Festival, to be held Oct. 28-30 at Westminster College.
Students are senior Katherine Ball, Soprano II (first chair); senior Kyleigh Gianfrancesco, Soprano II (fourth chair); senior Meghan McKenzie, Soprano II (fifth chair); senior Madison Lee, Soprano II (seventh chair); junior Victoria Rojas, Alto II (ninth chair); sophomore Miranda Gehm, Soprano I (sixth chair); sophomore Isabela Montes, Alto I (seventh chair); and sophomore Wyatt Gamble, Tenor I (fourth chair)
Dr. David Holdhusen, University of South Dakota Director of Choral Activities and Douglas & Susan Tuve Distinguished Professor of Choral Music, will serve as guest conductor.
The event will conclude with a public concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at Westminster College’s Orr Auditorium. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door.
