High School Students Joining in The Challenge Program

During the 2021-2022 School Year, Mars Area High School students are joining in The Challenge Program.

The program, which focuses on the how students’ choices may affect their career-readiness and success, both in and beyond the classroom, was introduced to students (Grades 9-12) at a recent assembly, which also provided information about various local career opportunities.

The goal of The Challenge Program is to build sustainable business/education partnerships, while motivating students to develop good habits that will help them to succeed in school and in their future careers. (Mars Area High School is partnered with Lutheran SeniorLife for the 2021-2022 School Year.)

Throughout the school year, students participating in the program will be eligible to compete for financial awards in five areas linked with academic and workplace success — Academic Excellence, Academic Improvement, Attendance, Community Service, and STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math).
