Mars Area High School senior Matthew Detisch has committed to join the Nittany Lions Football Team a preferred walk-on at the Pennsylvania State University, where he plans to major in accounting.

Detisch is a three-year member of and offensive lineman for the Mars Area High School Varsity Football Team, which ended the 2021 regular season with an overall record of 2-8 and 2-5 in Section 2-4A of the Greater Allegheny Conference.

At Mars Area High School, he is also a member of the Boys Varsity Track & Field Team and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). In the community, he volunteers with the Hope Lutheran Church Youth Group and works at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
