Mars Area High School senior Sarah Hooper was named a Finalist in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Hooper will enter a pool of 15,000 finalists, from which approximately 7,600 students will be selected to receive 2020 National Merit Scholarships.

In Fall 2021, Hooper was named a program semifinalist, after placing among the top 16,000 high school students, who entered the 2020 competition by taking the2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
