Mars Area High School’s Winterguard and Indoor Percussion teams competed in the 2022 TRWEA (Three Rivers Winter Ensemble Association) Championships, held April 2 at Kiski Area High School (Vandergrift, Pa.).

Mars Indoor Percussion earned second place with an overall score of 90.550 in the Percussion Scholastic A competition. Mars Area Winterguard took second place (80.550) in the Scholastic A contest.

Also of note, senior Audrey Milk was selected to receive the Kelly Bollman Scholarship and senior Luke Weiland for the Peter J. Spadaro Scholarship. The TRWEA-sponsored scholarships are awarded to those students in good academic standing, who demonstrate leadership qualities and service participation.
