Mars Area High School graduate Jackson Krock (Class of 2019) helped lead the Anchorage Wolverines North American Hockey League expansion hockey team to the final game of the Robertson Cup Championships, held May 20-24 at Fogerty Ice Arena (Blaine, Minn.).
In the expansion team’s first season, the Wolverines earned the Midwest Division Title and advance to the Robertson Cup Final, but were defeated 3-0 by the New Jersey Titans. Krock (assistant captain) scored six goals and 21 points in 51 games in regular season play and had one goal and two assists in the playoffs.
Before becoming the first player to sign with the Anchorage Wolverines expansion team, Krock played for the South Shore Kings (Foxboro, Mass.) in the National Collegiate Development Conference.
At Mars Area High School, Krock was a member of the Fightin’ Planets Boys Varsity Hockey Team only during his senior year, but amassed 19 goals and 36 points in 17 games. In addition, he was selected to play in the 2018-2019 Class 2A All-Star Hockey Game.
