This is a reminder that on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, Mars Area High School Faculty and Administration will host Open House/Parent Curriculum Night from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Homeroom begins at 6:00 PM. You will have the opportunity to meet your child's teachers. You will be given a brief summary of the curriculum, student expectations, and an overall view of how the class operates. A brief question and answer session may occur. Each class will be about nine minutes long with four minutes between classes.
Because our evening's format will be structured like your child's school day, it is imperative that you arrive by 6:00 PM for Homeroom. Please be sure to know your child's homeroom number. During any study hall period, you are invited to the cafeteria. Guidance counselors and administrators will be in the cafeteria throughout the evening to answer your questions.
Please have a copy of your students schedule with you, they are available on Skyward.
Information packets, your child's schedule (if needed) and building maps will be distributed when you enter the high school. High school staff will be available to help direct you to your destinations. Please enter the high school through the main doors.

6:48 to 6:57 – Period 4 7:52 to 8:00 – Period 9
IF YOU ARRIVE LATE, please follow the schedule according to your arrival time.
No Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held during Open House. Parent/Teacher Conference Day is scheduled for Thursday, November 10th. Parents are encouraged to schedule individual conferences with any teacher by simply e-mailing the teacher directly or by calling the main office to have the teacher call you. Please contact your child’s teachers so that you may schedule a convenient time on November 10th.
** JROTC will have Major Morrison available in the LGI during period 1.
While we encourage all parents to attend our Open House, some teachers will not be present for open house. Listed at the end of the letter is the list of teachers who will not be present. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience but welcome you to make an appointment on Parent/Teacher Conference Day to meet the teachers that will not be present.
