Junior Places Sixth in Statewide Ski Racing Series

McEnroe competed as a U18/U21 racer in the series, which consists of four slalom and four giant slalom races, held Jan. 21-March 5 at Seven Springs, Blue Mountain and Elk Mountain ski resorts. 

At the most recent PA Cup event, held March 3-5 at Elk Mountain, McEnroe received fifth place in the Ike Refice Memorial Giant Slalom with a combined time of 1:37.24; 29th place (2:31.67) in the Randy Turner Memorial Slalom; and ninth place (1:35.79) in the Bill Newman Memorial Giant Slalom.

Her overall performance in the PA Cup Alpine Ski Racing Series, earned her a spot on the U18/U21 PARA (Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association) State Team, which consists of the Top 10 racers in the state; and, she qualified to compete at Eastern Region Finals at Attitash Mountain Resort (Bartlett, N.H.).

McEnroe, has been competing in ski racing since age 5. As a young racer, she competed in the national championships with Nastar Alpine Racing in Colorado and has competed for Western Pennsylvania Race Club since age 7. She competes in the Giant Slalom, Slalom and Super G races throughout the Pennsylvania and has qualified for various U.S. Skiing Eastern Alpine Region post-season events.
